The affordable RENAISSANCE II and RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot scanning systems convert halftone film
separations into their digital equivalents, facilitating the integration of supplied or archived film, or reflective
copy, into a fully digital workflow. Advanced scanning technology produces an exact replica of the original film by
copying it dot-for-dot, without introducing moiré or artifacts. The copydot scanning system provides substantial
labor cost savings by automating film stripping at both the page-registration and form-imposition stages, and in
combination with the on-press makeready savings of a computer-to-plate digital workflow, provides a fast return on
investment. |
The RENAISSANCE II and RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot scanning systems support computer-to-plate and computer-to-film
technology by enabling you to scan color-separated, halftone film and generate digital files for integration into a
complete end-to-end digital workflow. Based on the GATF InterTech Technology award-winning RENAISSANCE scanning system,
the RENAISSANCE II and RENAISSANCE II Plus scanning systems are able to produce an exact replica of the original film
by copying it dot-for-dot without introducing moiré or artifacts.
Selected features and benefits
high-performance scanning maximizes productivity
digital workflow connectivity protects investments
scanning flexibility meets workflow needs
intuitive operation streamlines scanning process
fully automatic registration maintains accuracy through to press
integrity bitmap editing improves image quality
achieve color matches with HARMONY tonal calibration software
RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot scanning system
The RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot scanning system is built on the same architecture as the RENAISSANCE II copydot
scanning system, but offers faster throughput and greater image storage capacity. The RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot
scanning system offers 40% faster throughput than the RENAISSANCE II copydot scanning system, which enables you to
scan more jobs and increase your productivity. The RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot scanning system has twice the internal
drive capacity of the RENAISSANCE II copydot scanning system, allowing you to store more files and increase your
workload. The RENAISSANCE II copydot scanning system is field upgradeable to the RENAISSANCE II Plus copydot
scanning system.
Copydot Toolkit software adds performance and flexibility
Copydot Toolkit is a supplementary software product that offers you the ability to interrogate, view, reformat, edit,
descreen, resample, and scale copydot files from the RENAISSANCE copydot scanning system, as well as other sopydot
scanners. It also allows for the integration of archived copydot or 1-bit TIFF files into new workflows. The copydot
Toolkit adds flexibility to any copydot workflow, saving time, increasing productivity, and delivering both cost
savings and faster job turnaround.
