OVERVIEW
The ATMAX VEGA is an industrial-grade digital inkjet carpet and pile fabric printing system from Hangzhou Hongying Digital Technology Co., Ltd. — specialists in digital printing for flooring materials and pile fabrics since 2006. The VEGA platform is configured as complete production lines for four distinct carpet categories: Nylon/Wool/Acrylic/Modified Polyester carpets, Classic Polyester Tufted/Woven carpets, Non-Woven Polyester carpets, and Classic Polyester Blankets. Print widths of 2.2m, 3.2m, and 4.2m accommodate the full range of carpet production formats, with capacity scaling from 120 m²/hr (2 heads/color) to 1,680 m²/hr (16 heads/color) at print speeds of 0.5–7 m/min. The system uses Spectra StarFire SG1024 industrial piezo printheads (Dimatix print system with RediJet internal ink circulation and VersaDrop variable drop technology) paired with ATMAX’s proprietary acid (nylon/wool), dispersed (polyester), and cationic (acrylic) inkjet inks — the last of which ATMAX pioneered as the world’s first manufacturer in 2017.

Wash-Free Technology — Zero Emissions
- ATMAX’s 2013 breakthrough: printing on PA6 (nylon) and modified polyester carpets without a washing step — true ‘0’ wastewater emissions. Eliminating washing dramatically reduces water use, effluent treatment cost, and operating complexity.
World’s First Cationic Ink (2017)
- ATMAX pioneered industrial cationic inkjet ink in 2017 — the preferred ink for acrylic carpets. Combined with acid ink (nylon/wool) and dispersed ink (polyester), ATMAX provides matched ink for every major carpet fibre type from a single supplier.
Spectra StarFire SG1024 — Industrial Printheads
- Dimatix StarFire SG1024 heads: 1024 independent channel nozzles, RediJet internal ink circulation (concentrations, fast-drying inks), VersaDrop variable drop (true drop size control, not just grayscale). 30 pl @ 35 kHz (SG1024/MA) or 80 pl @ 20 kHz (SG1024/LA).
Scalable Capacity — 120 to 1,680 m²/hr
- 2 to 16 printheads per color channel — scale capacity to match production requirement. 2.2 m, 3.2 m, or 4.2 m print width. 4, 6, 7, or 8 color channels. Print speed 0.5–7 m/min. One platform for small runs and mass production.
Pile Fabric Capability — Up to 20 mm Height
- Print on pile fabrics with pile height up to 20 mm — a technical challenge conventional inkjet systems cannot handle. Pile weight up to 1,400 gsm (tufted) and 3,000 gsm (woven). 360–1,800 dpi resolution range for fine detail on textured substrates.
